French Trust Fund Reception, Thursday 4 June 2015

The French Program in the School of Languages and Linguistics at the University of Melbourne cordially invites alumni and friends of the French Trust Fund to a reception on Thursday, 4 June 2015.

We will be joined by guest speaker Phoebe Weston-Evans, who will give us some insight into the mysterious world of the recent winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, Patrick Modiano and his work. Phoebe has written a translation of Modiano’s novel Accident Nocturne soon to be published by Yale University Press and Text Publishing. We’ll also hear from Paul Soyez, the winner of the 2015 French Trust Fund travelling grant who is completing his doctorate on the history of the French-Australian relationship since the end of the Cold War.
